North East Scotland Fisheries Fund launch

Following an allocation of £1.437 million of funding from the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF) and Scottish Government, NESFLAG will hold a launch event to provide information on available funding to stakeholders.

Attendance is free, but participants are required to register via Eventbrite (link below).

World Canals Conference

The World Canals Conference 2016 will showcase the huge range of exciting and innovative projects underway on and along inland waterways around the globe.

Hosted in Inverness, the gateway to the majestic Caledonian Canal, the conference will showcase the many attractions of the nation’s 137-mile canal network, from the incredible Kelpies – the largest equine sculptures on the planet – and The Falkirk Wheel to the innovative projects in surface water management, asset monitoring and repair and place-making.

The 2016 Scottish Charity Awards are now open for entries in seven categories.

Has your organisation achieved something special this year? Does your charity have an exceptional employee? Do you know somebody who has made an outstanding contribution to a charity or cause? 

The annual Scottish Charity Awards are run by the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) and celebrate the achievements of the third sector. 

Over 40 community organisations will receive a share of £2.5 million from the Scottish Government's Strengthening Communities Programme.

The Strengthening Communities Programme (SCP) will provide investment to community organisations from the Highlands to the Scottish Borders that are transforming disused properties and setting up enterprises in their areas.

The Scottish Government is inviting tenders for an advisory service for local food and drink marketing. 

The Scottish Government requires a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to provide a marketing advisory service focussed on promoting local food and drink. The service will primarily be aimed at entrepreneurs, micro-businesses and small and medium sized enterprises with limited experience of marketing food and drink which uses Scottish produce.
