The new Moray LEADER programme launched at the Morayvia Aerospace Centre recently.

Around 80 people from agencies, businesses and community groups attended the launch event on 26 May to find out more about the £3.5 million fund.

The Rural Leadership Programme is being expanded to the Highlands and Islands.

Scottish Enterprise and Highlands and Islands Enterprise have joined forces, giving people involved in rural businesses in the Highlands and Islands the opportunity to join the popular 13-day programme.

Helping it Happen Awards Night

An awards night will be held in Edinburgh on May 30, 2017, which follows Scottish Land & Estates’ Annual Spring Conference being held at the Assembly Rooms on the same day.

These new awards – which are sponsored by The MacRobert Trust - are being held at the Principal Hotel Edinburgh, George Street, 7.30pm for 8pm.

The 2017 Scottish Land & Estates' Spring conference has the theme 'Rural Investment: Hopes and Fears for a New Era'.

The European Network for Rural Development (ENRD) held the 'Revitalising Rural Areas through Business Innovation' event on 30 March 2017 in Brussels.

The Seminar explored how rural businesses – both farm and non-farm – can innovate in ways that “create the conditions for future prosperity and vitality”.
