Rural-Urban Partnerships

This webinar will explore how stronger rural-urban partnerships can reinforce resilience in the face of future shocks and build a sustainable future. The three sessions will discuss:

SCOTO is a network of community tourism enterprises located throughout Scotland and led by a team of dynamic individuals who each have extensive and varied experience in community tourism.

The Scottish Government will carefully consider proposals to support more women into entrepreneurship, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has said following publication of a wide-ranging independent review.

The Gathering

The countdown to The Gathering 2023 has officially started, the events planned over 2 days, Wednesday 10th May & Thursday 11th May, include trips to local transport operators and community hubs on the 10th and the plenary session on the 11th.

Environmental organisations, community groups, land owners and farmers will be eligible to apply for a share of £1.8 million funding to help grow their nature projects.

Do you have a small business in Scotland?

Could you answer a series of questions to capture a comprehensive snapshot of trading conditions and challenges across the country?

Projects returning former industrial or derelict sites to community use will be more likely to be approved following the introduction of long term planning reforms.

Restoring and Running Historic Buildings

Taking on a historic or heritage building is a great achievement for community groups and can provide huge benefits and opportunities to the local community.

NatureScot will hold the first Nature Restoration Jobs and Skills Conference on the 13th March, giving prime opportunity for delegates to hear from a range of speakers on Scotland’s ambition for nature restoration.

This workshop is aimed at managers and multipliers from all over the world who hold positions of responsibility in the field of youth work or vocational training in rural and island areas.
