A practical one-day workshop on managing rushes without chemicals. This follows on from a successful meeting last year that explored different management options for rushes.

You do not need to have been at the previous meetings to attend this meeting.

A pilot project on exchange programmes for young farmers across Europe has published its report.

The report from the 'Exchange programmes for young farmers' project highlights the needs of young farmers, provided an overview of exchange schemes for young farmers and a guide for successful exchange schemes.

The Beef Efficiency Scheme is currently open for applications.

This five-year programme is open to farmers and crofters to help improve the efficiency and genetic value of Scotland’s suckler beef herd. 

The window for applications has now been extended until 15 June 2016. The deadline was originally Tuesday 31 May 2016.

The Beef Efficiency Scheme is part of the Scottish Rural Development Programme.

Farming Connect are looking for farms and forestry businesses that may be suitable to host an exchange farmer from Wales.

Farming Connect, which delivers the knowledge transfer, innovation and advisory services of the Rural Development Programme in Wales is currently developing a new Management Exchange programme for farmers and foresters in Wales.
