Charity Trustee Seminar - Angus Rural Partnership

As the UK Government announces its intention to appoint a National Resilience Wildfire Adviser - it is of significance that leading lights from the world of wildfire have been announced as speakers at this year’s UK Wildfire Conference to be held in Aberdeen. 

Plunkett UK is offering a limited number of small development grants of up to £2,000 to community groups in rural Scotland looking to bring their pub/hotel into community ownership.

As the UK Government announces its intention to appoint a National Resilience Wildfire Adviser, leading lights from the world of wildfire have been announced as speakers at this year’s UK Wildfire Conference to be held in Aberdeen. 

Researchers from The James Hutton Institute in Aberdeen want to hear from livestock farmers about the risk of bluetongue disease in Great Britain to help shape how to deal with it.

 

The 2024 Great Scottish Squirrel Survey has been launched by Saving Scotland’s Red Squirrels (SSRS). 

This Red Squirrel Week, SSRS are calling on people all over Scotland to get outside, explore nature and be on the lookout for tufted ears and bushy tails for sixth annual Great Scottish Squirrel Survey.

SSRS is a partnership project that is working to ensure red squirrels continue to be a part of Scotland’s special native wildlife.

Community Development Alliance Scotland Annual National Conference 2024

Last year, the conference was held in Glasgow. In 2022, it was Edinburgh, this year, CDAS are delighted to confirm that their Annual National Conference will be in The Barracks, Stirling.

A newly created Community Benefit Fund has launched to support local groups in the four Community Council areas of Ardersier and Petty, Cawdor, Croy and Culloden Moor and West Nairn and Suburban.

The fund, which is provided by Haventus, the owners of the Ardersier Energy Transition Facility (Ardersier Port) will provide £100,000 per year to local community groups and activities, for the next ten years.
