Local Action Groups
Local Action Groups (LAG) manage Community Led Local development (CLLD) funding across rural and island Scotland. There are 21 LAGs in total made up of local people and organisations working to improve life in their communities.
LAGs typically have between 12-20 members representing Community Organisations (including Charities and Social Enterprises), Private Sector Businesses and Public Sector organisations.
The LAGs previously managed the EU LEADER programme within their respective areas to support CLLD.

To maximise the knowledge and expertise of the Local Action Groups (LAG) structure within Scotland and to continue to support Community Led Local development (CLLD), the Scottish Government is working collaboratively with the LAG membership to deliver future CLLD funding.
