Communities Leading Collectively - Illuminating Leadership Festival

This event will focus on the theme of collective leadership from a community-led perspective. Based on research from a series of case studies with community-led organisations and a recent workshop with practitioners to better understand key themes , this session will delve into how collective leadership can be used within communities to inspire collaboration and creativity.

Scottish Community Pubs Network event

Funded by Scottish Government, Plunkett Foundation is delighted to invite you to this Scottish community pubs network event. Open to all community groups involved in a community owned pub project, whether early stage or if your pub is already open and trading.

Join your fellow community pub groups across Scotland to network, swap ideas and support each other. Bring your challenges and concerns so we can all find answers together. Plunkett Foundation staff will be on hand to help answer your questions, along with partner organisations.

Scottish Rural Network is providing funds to support the Scottish Community Pubs Partnership led by the Plunkett Foundation, which will allow more pubs to become community-owned in 2022.

Rethinking Remote 2022 Conference

Conference focussing on innovative solutions in remote and rural health and wellbeing.

Scotland’s top trainees and rural learners have been named as finalists for Lantra Scotland’s Awards for Land-based and Aquaculture Skills (the ALBAS).

The talented apprentices and trainees who have made the shortlist will find out if they have won at a prestigious gala dinner and award ceremony on Thursday 3 March. Hosting the ALBAS for the evening will be farmer and stand-up comedian Jim Smith.

Funding available for private sector and third sector centres to help with running costs and enable staff to deliver more outdoor learning for schools.

The funding brings the Scottish Government’s support for the sector during the pandemic to £4.5 million.

After a three-year project collaboration, the international ViSEnet-team has gathered learning resources and best practices in an online free guide dedicated to rural social entrepreneurs: The Rural Social Enterprise Guidebook of Good Practice: Experience from Estonia, Finland, Germany, Romania and Scotland.
