Could connecting with a researcher help your community group run a project exploring a local climate change issue?

The Co-op Foundation is offering funding of between £75,000 - £100,000 to support work in the food and farming sector which reduces the emissions of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.

They’re looking for innovative projects, movements, or inventions which not only deliver an environmental good, but contribute to real systems change, and can demonstrate a positive impact for people and communities too.

Over 100 organisations have received a £1.5 million funding boost to help revitalise cities, town centres and neighbourhoods across Scotland.

An additional £18 million will be available this year to help householders install energy efficient measures and reduce their heating bills, bringing the total support available through Home Energy Scotland to £50 million in 2021-2022.

The Taic Freumhan Coimhearsnachd funding programme was established to help community groups to undertake projects in support of the National Gaelic Language Plan.

Applications are now open for projects taking place between April 2022 and August 2023 that would help achieve the aims of the National Gaelic Language Plan and Bòrd na Gàidhlig’s 2018-23 Corporate Plan, especially by promoting the using Gaelic in the community.

The ICF is a streamlined communities fund that is delivered as part of the Empowering Communities Programme.

A £25 million fund to improve ventilation in business premises and reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission will open for applications next week.

Small and medium-sized businesses such as restaurants, bars and gyms will be able to claim back costs of up to £2,500 to undertake work such as the installation of carbon dioxide monitors and remedial improvement work to windows and vents.

Firstport's LaunchMe is Scotland’s social enterprise accelerator. The programme selects a cohort of up to eight ambitious organisations each year to prepare them for growth and help them secure investment.

£41 million Winter Support Fund for low income households.

The Winter Support Fund will help those on low incomes, children and people at risk of homelessness against a backdrop of rising living and fuel costs.

A support fund for initiatives that improve the lives of former service personnel and their families is now open.

A priority for this year’s Scottish Veterans Fund – which has doubled to £500,000 – is projects that support veterans who have left the Services early.

Bids that promote collaboration between the veterans charity sector and other bodies are also being prioritised.
